In order to extend the necessary services to patients undergoing significant orthopedic procedures such as joint replacements, it was necessary to combine the Ambulatory Surgical Center with a new 20 bed Short-stay Orthopedic Hospital. This permits post operative observation and rehabilitation for a period up to 96 hours. Two additional operatories were added along with the expansion of the pre and post-op areas in the ASC.
