coordinated health imaging center

Bonsall Shafferman Architects has recently completed an 8,000 square foot imaging center for Coordinated Health, a major orthopedic healthcare provider. The new facility is the result of satisfying multiple needs at their Highland Campus. There was a need to expand and upgrade the existing diagnostic facility. Project Manager Chris Neal explains, “The new facility provides easy access to their existing hospital wing and includes a new state-of-the-art MRI, CT Scan, Ultra Sound and support facilities while providing separate inpatient and outpatient access.”

The new building bridges the space between the existing hospital and the existing medical office building on a sloping site, thus posing several design and construction challenges as well as opportunities.  The sloping site allows a basement level for medical gas storage and mechanical and electrical equipment.  Serfass Construction provided construction management services.
