With a significant growth of business in recent years, Pocono Ambulatory Surgery Center needed substantial help in expanding their existing facility. The first problem was to overcome a long, narrow and difficult site. The program initially called for a 17,475 s.f. addition with three (3) Class ‘C’ operatories, recovery areas with patient beds and nurses stations along with the required exam rooms and typical support spaces. A sheltered patient drop off and pick up area was also required.
